Picked her up a little after 10:00 this morning and we first went to the post office to mail some letters for my job. Then we headed over to Claude and Glenna Workman and we picked some rhubarb. Gary has been dropping some hints over the past few weeks that he would like some pie! We picked enough to make 2 pies now and I froze more to make another one.
Then we drove to Ephraim to the Walmart to pick up my pansies, petunias, beef steak tomatoes and a day lily to put into my planters, plus a few other things. We decided to go to Roger's for lunch, and as we passed by the church we saw a lot of cars with men and boys piling out of the trucks, etc. We were surprised to see them for Katrina had not received a text or call that they were back. So we turned around and it was the Young Men. As Katrina was helping Zane load his gear into the car, she received the text that they would be at the church in 15 minutes. We were just lucky to see them when we passed them. We took Zane home - he did say he had a good time and it was fun. (I think they went over by Fillmore to the lava tubes)
Then we headed to Roger's for lunch - which was okay - especially the scones. Dropped her off at home and went over to Terrel's to pick up some pork chops, mini peppers and some Frito's for Gary.
He was over at Tifie with Aaron and his Young Men doing a service project of cleaning up the shooting range and he ate one of the young men's Frito's and wanted to replace them. So I drove over to the camp, delivered the Frito's and went home. Made the pies and put the groceries away, then crawled into bed and slept two hours. Not doing so well! But the pies are very delicious!
