Exciting things during Christmas and New Years!!

 On December 23, 2022, Gary and Aaron headed up to our campsite on Skyline Drive - Tucker area with the two side by sides on tracks to take some supplies up so it will be ready for spring.  New fallen snow the previous day added to the fun??!!

They didn't make it all the way in and upon turning around because the snow was too powdery, one of the tracks came off the CanAm.  They tried pulling it back up to the main road and gotten part way when it became to hard to pull the CanAm with the Yahama - so they left it and called Robby Layton to help out.  Robby has a YouTube site and they videoed the recovery and posted it to the site.

Friday, December 30th, Gary and I went up to Gared and Amanda's to watch Jackson while they both had to work.  Gary did some errands in Provo, had pizza from Papa Murphy with them before we headed over to Costco and then home.  Upon leaving Costco it had started to lightly snow, which it was raining most of the day.  The snow became heavy as we traveled into Spanish Fork Canyon and onto Highway 89 towards Mt Pleasant.  I was driving and the roads were sloppy but as we were climbing the hill to Milburn, the 4 runner (or the Beast as we call it) started skidding- hit the east guard rail with the front of the Beast and it spun us around so we hit the west guard rail with the back left fender - ending up facing the way we just came from.  Shook me up - had two vans stop and see how we were doing, and a state plow truck headed to Mt Pleasant slowed down to check on us.  Gary walked around the Beast - no big scratches or dents- a small scratch on the left back panel where it hit the guard rail and popped out a reflector light too.  This is the only section of the highway that had guard rails on both sides of the road.!!!

Gary took over driving, stopped in Fairview at the local Exxon station to double check the Beast - and headed home.  Luckily we left the Yamaha Viking at the bottom of the hill because there was too much snow, slush and ice for us to get back to the cabin.

Sunday after church, we drove back to Milburn and looked at the guard rail and located the reflector light.

That big heavy duty bumper Gary had installed on the front of the Beast hit the guard rail and made that big dent in the railing.
